Our guide here in Nanjing is Fred. He speaks good English. He says that because EmmaLi is "an obedient child" -meaning she is quiet and doesn't cry much - that he would be able to take us out sight seeing. He is a tour guide by profession.
We learned that Nanjing used to be the capital city before Bejing. "Nan" means South, "Bej" means north. So there are a few things here that have historical significance that he wants to show us. We didn't get to see the great wall, but there is a wall here that used to surround the city, so hopefully we will see that.
Here are some more pictures of EmmaLi.
Thanks again for everything, especially all the prayers!!!
Kim, Jon, Jessica, and EmmaLi
P.S. - She fits right in......she likes chocolate!!!

Of course she likes chocolate! She's your daughter!! Glad you get to sightsee. Take lots of pictures for EmmaLi. Ruthie still loves to look through the album of all the pictures of our journey to her. Especially where she spent her first year. We love you!!
