EmmaLi's Hometown

Today was a busy day starting off with a 4 hour trip to Nantong where EmmaLi is from.

Here is a picture of Jon and EmmaLi having fun in the car!

This is a picture of the actual place where EmmaLi was found

Our guide told us that she was dropped off at a Medical building about 5:30 when everyone was getting off work so, she would be found quickly and a Pediatric hospital was around the corner where we believe she was well taken care of.

After seeing her place of finding we went to orphanage and met all the wonderful people who who cared for EmmaLi and we were lucky enough to see her friends.

EmmaLi has been saying yah-yah and calling for Mama and today we found out Yah, yah is her friend and we were able to see the woman that has been her Mama. All the people at the orphanage were very kind and even the director said we are considered family and we were just starting our relationship together. EmmaLi cried before leaving not wanting to get back in the van and it was hard to console her. We got home so late that we bathed her and put her to bed but, she did perk up enough to laugh and play before going down.

To this day, we are still wondering if we are in a dream. Thanks again for all your love and support!

It was great to finally see some pictures of Jon with EmmaLi, and to see your entire family together.

I think the fact that she was put in front of a busy place is a great sign from her birth parents. They wanted her to be cared for. Ruthie was found in front of a hospital, same reason, they wanted her found. We never say abandoned. We say put. Then she had to wait until we found her. You all look amazing. Keep enjoying yoru journey! And I bet you bed at home feels like a long lost friend!!

Thank you so much for calling me before you left! What an incredible journey. She is such a beautiful girl. Her birth mother loved her enough to know that for whatever reason she could not care for her. I cannot imagine how difficult it was for her to leave her precious baby. You are an amazing family and EmmaLi is very blessed to have her mommy, daddy, and big sister all together now. I know that the minute you were united with her she could feel the incredible amout of love you have for her. We can't wait for you guys to get home!!! Love you tons!!
