Kids say the darndest things

So, yesterday I went to the library with Jessica and some friends. As my friend was getting her oldest daughter a library card, Jessica and I played with the other children and this is what our conversation ended up being:
Abbie:"My sister wants to be a fat ice-skater when she grows up"
Me:"Why does she want to be that?"
Abbie:"She wants to be a fat ice-skater so she doesn't have to have kids"
Me:"Maddie, you don't have to have kids-you can adopt like I did, Jessica is adopted"
Maddie:"So, you really wanted a baby and couldn't have one?"
Jessica pipes in "Yeah, I'm adopted my Mom has serious problems!"
(...she'll never know how true that statement is!)
I was laughing so hard and told my friend about the conversation when she got back and she quickly explained that her daughter thought if she was a "fat ice-skater" when she fell down she wouldn't get hurt!!

It still makes me laugh! I told Daniel that conversation last night and he thought it was hilarious! We all have serious problems.
